All Transfer switches feature a rugged powder-coated steel cabinet with six combination 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch knockouts, resettable branch rated circuit breakers and non-defeatable (break-before-make) double-throw switches. Some models feature exclusive Reliance wattmeters with accuracy of ± 3% throughout the entire range.

Many models have a power inlet on the front or a cover for the power inlet opening. Models with an outlet built in or with an outlet opening that have an inlet installed permits a cord connection directly to the transfer switch. Almost any switch may be connected to an exterior inlet box to allow connection of a cord.

A wattmeter panel (WP7500) is available for all Pro-Tran models without meters (except models 15114A and 30114A).
