The Easy/Tran TF transfer switch is designed for the control of a single circuit, such as a forced-air furnace, in the event of a power failure.  The attached 18” flexible aluminum conduit is pre-wired and allows the TF to be easily connected at the circuit breaker panel or the furnace. Power can be supplied from a portable generator, inverter, RV generator, fuel cell or any standby source capable of producing sufficient current to operate the desired load. The Easy/Tran is suitable for use with any portable or RV generator with a 15 amp, 120 VAC outlet and will operate a furnace motor of up to 2 HP.
 
The Reliance Easy/Tran® TF manual transfer switch is a truly low-cost method for using a portable or RV generator to operate your home’s forced-air furnace during a power outage. This will allow your family to stay warm and comfortable and prevent pipes from freezing.  The Easy/Tran takes only minutes to install into your home’s furnace circuit and connects with most standard 15A extension cords (not included).
 

In the event of a power interruption simply use a standard grounded cord to connect the transfer switch to the standby power source.  Then throw the double-throw switch on the TF from LINE to GEN and you have power to your forced-air furnace or any other 15A or 20A, 120VAC circuit.  The light on the face of the TF will illuminate the area around the switch under standby power.  The circuit breaker on the TF provides protection only when the switch is in the GEN position.

 

The TF151W can be connected to a 15A or 20A, 120VAC branch circuit.  Power input, in the standby mode, is limited to 15A maximum.  The TF201W can be connected to a 20A, 120VAC branch circuit only.  Power input, in the standby mode, is limited to 20A maximum.

Raintight NEMA 3R Power Inlet Boxes are designed for use with Pro/Tran transfer switches, Panel/Link manual transfer panels and generator-ready load centers. The power inlet box may be installed indoors or outdoors, in the area where the generator is being used. Using one of the four combination 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch knockouts (one on each side, bottom and back), the power inlet box can be wired directly to the transfer switch or panel. The exclusive patented design provides generous wiring space and facilitates rough-in. If you require a circuit breaker at the inlet box, use the PR Series inlet box that includes a circuit breaker. Select a box that matches the maximum amperage of the transfer switch.
