Raintite NEMA 3R Power Inlet Boxes are designed for use with Pro/Tran transfer switches, Panel/Link manual transfer panels and generator-ready load centers. The power inlet box may be installed indoors or outdoors, in the area where the generator is being used. Using one of the four combination 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch knockouts (one on each side, bottom and back), the power inlet box can be wired directly to the transfer switch or panel. The exclusive patented design provides generous wiring space and facilitates rough-in. If you require a circuit breaker at the inlet box, use the PR Series inlet box that includes a circuit breaker. Select a box that matches the maximum amperage of the transfer switch.

Suitable for installation into a 2 1/2" knockout on any indoor or outdoor Panel/Link transfer panel or lead center, TRC series and larger. UL listed.

Power Cords: Power Cords are all rubber. This item is a vital connecting link between the generator and the transfer switch and/or the power inlet box. The 4-wire locking plug and connector match up with the power inlet on each transfer switch and power inlet box. Most portable generators are supplied with either a 20 Amp or 30 Amp 4-wire locking receptacle that accepts the locking plug on one end of the power cord. Power cords marked "USA" are not UL listed cords but are assembled with UL listed components. UL listed cords have molded in ends and do not have USA in the number.

12 gauge cords are rated at 20 Amps for all 30 Amp inlet boxes and 30 transfer panels.

10 gauge cords are rated at 30 Amps for all 30 Amp inlet boxes and 30 transfer panels.

6 gauge cords are rated at 50 Amps for all 50 Amp inlet boxes and 50 transfer panels.

The Cost: At first glace these cords look expensive, but if you go out and buy the plugs, wire and tools to make cable as professionally as these are done you will find that you spend at least the same amount of money and a lot of time. How do we know? We went out and did just that! Ours did not come out as nice and it took a lot of time and aggravation to make them. So just buy these Reliance Controls cords.

Wattmeter Boxes: Wattmeter boxes come on many switches or you can add them to the front of existing switches if designed to take them. You can also add external wattmeters in a self contained box.
