| TACOM 5 kW Portable GenSet. Meets or exceeds all Tacom specifications below. THE TRAILER, GENERATOR AND ENCLOSURE SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM EQUIPMENT AND CAPABILITIES: PORTABLE DIESEL ENGINE GENERATOR, 5KW THE GENERATOR SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH ALL NEW PARTS, THE MANUFACTURER’S STANDARD EQUIPMENT AND THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM EQUIPMENT/OPTIONS: 1. CONFIGURATION: 1.1. The generator shall be provided with a full roll-cage frame enclosing the entire perimeter of the unit and at least two horizontal cross members on the top. The generator set shall be 2006 model year or later. 1.2. The generator set shall have a maximum unit dry weight of 380 lbs.(173 kg.) 1.3. For generators shipped to 1.3.1. All instruction diagrams and warning labels shall be in both Arabic and English, or in Universal symbols, and shall be permanently affixed to the generator. 1.3.2. Fuel filler cap shall be labeled, with the type of fuel compatible with the generator, in both Arabic and English, or in Universal symbols. 1.3.3. A manual(s) shall be provided for every generator and written in both English and Arabic. 1.4. For generators shipped to 1.4.1. All instruction diagrams and warning labels shall be in both Dari and English, or in Universal symbols, and shall be permanently affixed to the generator. 1.4.2. Fuel filler cap shall be labeled, with the type of fuel compatible with the generator, in both Dari and English, or in Universal symbols. 1.4.3. A manual(s) shall be provided for every generator and written in both Dari and Arabic. 2. ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE: 2.1. The generator shall be powered by a diesel engine capable of operating as specified herein on very high sulfur content diesel fuel (10,000 ppm or 1%). 2.1.1. The engine shall not be provided with emission control devices, such as but not limited to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). 2.1.2. If emission control devices cited in paragraph 2.1.1 were removed from the engine after the engine was manufactured, then documentation shall be provided that describes in detail all such modifications made to the engine in order to meet specification paragraph 2.1. 2.1.2.1. The engine manufacturer shall also verify/approve all modifications and/or alterations made to the engine to allow it to operate on very high sulfur content diesel fuel (10,000 ppm or 1%). 2.2. Engine shall be provided with cooling and air filtration system designed for a dusty, desert environment. 2.3. The generator shall be capable of being stored, started, and operated in temperatures ranging from -25 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (-32 to 49 degrees Celsius) 2.4. The generator shall have a fuel tank capacity to run for a minimum of 7 hours at full rated load. 2.5. The generator shall be provided with the following: 2.5.1. Automatic engine shutdown/protection (low oil pressure and high engine temperature at a minimum). 2.5.2. Fuel filter. 2.5.3. Gauges for fuel level, engine hour meter, and AC voltmeter. 2.5.4. Electric start. 3. OUTPUT: 3.1. Minimum 5 kW continuous output at full load. 3.2. 230 volt output at 50 Hz, single phase 4. AC DISTRIBUTION: 4.1. Receptacles: 4.1.1. A manual circuit breaker shall be provided for each receptacle. 4.1.2. Shall have a minimum of two universal receptacles. Each receptacle shall be provided with a weather protection cover. 4.1.3. The receptacle configuration shall be WA-R4S female universal receptacle as shown below (references: http://www.europlugs.com/ and http://www.europlugs.com/Wonpro_catalog/R4_Universal_Receptacles.htm#R4-ivory) or equivalent. 4.1.4. Each receptacle shall be rated at a minimum of 20 amp. 4.1.5. The receptacles shall be hard wired into the generator. 5. COLOR: 5.1. Exterior color of the generator will be specified in the delivery order and shall be desert tan 686, color chip 33446 in accordance with FED-STD-595 or equivalent or holly green, color chip 14090 or equivalent. 6. RadIO fREQUENCY IDENTIFICATIOIN (rfid) TAGS: 6.1. The vehicle or item and associated lot of spares shall be tagged with a removable active RFID tracking tag, specifically (NSN 6350-01-523-1998). 6.2. The tag shall be located on the front of the equipment and for the spares the tag shall be located on the pallet or container in accordance with the RFID Operations Guide revision 2005 or later, section”tag placement reference”. The guide is available at http://www.cascom.army.mil/Automation/ITV/guidebooks.htm. 6.3. The tag shall be securely affixed to the item with two or more plastic cable ties. 6.4. The tag data and electronic data field format shall be in accordance with specifications established by Joint Total Asset Visibility (JTAV) version 2.0, section 3.4.1 “Commodity Item Database Format” with the following clarifications: 6.4.1. The “document field” titled “DOCUMENT” shall be the document number (e.g. “milstrip”) as specified by the Government procuring agency. 6.4.2. The “MISC1” field shall be the item serial number, if available. 6.4.3. The “MISC2” field shall be used for user comments.(e.g. contract number) 6.4.3.1.
